Metra Express was founded in 2008 by operators with a trucking background dating back to 2005. The team had already spent years moving freight across South Florida before opening the company's doors.

In 2013 we shifted our focus to port container drayage — pulling boxes out of PortMiami and Port Everglades and delivering them anywhere in Florida. That focus hasn't changed since.

Today we run 14 trucks and 45 tri-axle heavy-duty chassis from our Hallandale Beach office and Miami Gardens yard. Owner-operated, hands-on, and still dispatching every load the same way we did on day one.
